We offer top notch prenatal care. Care is provided at our Birth Center in a comfortable environment.

What to Expect:

Your first appointment (usually between 6-8 weeks) will include a tour of the facility, meet and greet with a midwife, and education visit.  

Your second appointment (usually 8-12 weeks) could include pap screening, STI screening, and/or routine prenatal testing including bloodwork for anemia, blood type, HIV, Syphillis, Rubella, and Hepatitis B. Genetic screening tests are usually also offered at this time. Your second appointment may include a dating ultrasound and appointment with one of our OB/GYN physicians to review results.

Typical Prenatal Visits occur

Every 4 weeks from 6 weeks to 28 weeks

Every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks

Weekly from 36 weeks-birth


Postpartum Services

We are committed to continuing your care after your birth and making sure that you and baby adjust well. Our early discharge program allow you to go home within 4-6 hours of birth (if mom and baby are stable) to settle into your own home with your new family.

Our postpartum fee includes:

48 hour home visit (within 50 miles of the birth center) -for birth center births. 

Hospital clients receive a 24 hour postpartum hospital visit from one of our midwives.

2 week postpartum follow up for mom and baby at the birth center

6 week routine postpartum check up

Newborn Care

Your birth is attended by a midwife and nurse both trained in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP). Your midwife will perform the first newborn exam. We will help you register the birth. You will choose a pediatrician or family practice provider to continue infant care.

48 hour home visit (within 50 miles of the birth center) -Newborn hearing, Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) screening and state required metabolic screening (Bilirubin testing if needed) for birth center clients. This is done during the hospital stay for our hospital clients.

2 week postpartum follow up for mom and baby at the birth center (Identify breastfeeding issues, postpartum depression screening, etc.)

6 week routine postpartum check up
